We received 36 beautifully bagged Care Packages of essential toiletries from Barnardo’s N.I. The packages were created by 6th Form pupils from Dominican College Fortwilliam, Belfast Boys’ Model School and Blessed Trinity College, who had been working together on the ‘Leading Change Programme’. They wanted to support the work of the North Belfast Foodbank in a practical way and hoped that the care packages would help those in the local community.
The project was funded by the Executive Office, T:BUC (Together: Building a United Community).
Other schools involved in the programme were; Edmund Rice College, Mercy College, Belfast Royal Academy, Girls’ Model, St. Malachy’s and Hazelwood Integrated College.
